Core Features

REST

In rest we can send and debug API requests inside Clauge. We dont need any separate API client.

Collections

A collection is a folder for related requests — by project, service, or whatever grouping you like.

  1. Click + New Collection.
  2. Add requests to it.
  3. Open a collection from the sidebar to work with its requests.

Send a request

Open a request from a collection, or create a new one. Each request opens in its own tab.

  1. Pick a method — GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, or DELETE.
  2. Enter the URL.
  3. Set up what you need:
    • Headers
    • Auth
    • Params
    • Body or Pre-script
  4. Click Send.

You can use environment variables in the URL and headers and pick an environment from the request editor.

You can switch the response view: Pretty, Raw, Preview, or Headers.

AI Assistant

In the top-right, click the sparkle icon to open the AI Assistant (tagged REST), or press ⌘L / Ctrl+L. Describe the request you need in plain language — method, endpoint, headers, body — and the assistant generates it for you.

Import and export

Bring API work in, or take it with you.

Import

Import an API definition instead of building requests by hand. Use a file, or paste the content. Clauge creates the matching collections and requests.

Export

Export a collection to back it up, share it, or move it elsewhere. Select the collection and choose an export format.

History

History keeps the requests you’ve already sent. Open it to revisit one, keep testing, or reopen something without building it again.
